Use of the Library by Children

Abstract

Present research is on the topic of use of the library by children. In this research, researcher has preferred children who lived in Gandhinagar (Gujarat) city. As above mentioned, title researcher has to identify some viewpoint regarding use of the library by children i.e. membership of any children library, frequency of library visit, choice of reading material, how to visit library, the purpose of visited the library, satisfaction of library services etc. through questionnaires. In present study researcher has consider only 137 questionnaires that filled by children who aware and utilize resources of the library. The study found that majority of the children is aware of children library and used it very well. They are used library for gathering new innovative ideas through different subjective reading material. The study also noted that children used library by forced of their parents or elders. In short, library is maximum used by children.
