dc.description.abstractScientific creativity is an essential competency in contemporary education systems that aim to develop learners capable of inquiry, innovation, and problem-solving. In primary education, nurturing scientific creativity helps children develop curiosity, observation skills, and the ability to generate novel ideas related to scientific phenomena. However, traditional instructional approaches often emphasize memorization and factual knowledge, limiting opportunities for creative exploration in science learning. This conceptual paper examines holistic pedagogical strategies that can cultivate scientific creativity among primary school learners. The study explores the conceptual foundations of scientific creativity, its core components, and the significance of creativity-oriented science education in the early years of schooling. The paper further discusses holistic pedagogical practices including inquiry-based learning, activity-based learning, toy-based pedagogy, project-based learning, experiential learning, and STEM/STEAM integration as effective approaches for nurturing creativity in primary science classrooms. Drawing upon theoretical perspectives and contemporary research in science education, the article proposes a conceptual framework linking holistic pedagogical strategies with the development of scientific creativity among learners. The discussion also highlights the role of teachers, classroom environments, and learning resources in promoting creative engagement in science learning. Furthermore, the article addresses key challenges such as curriculum constraints, examination-oriented systems, and insufficient teacher preparation that hinder the implementation of creativity-focused pedagogies. The paper concludes with educational implications for curriculum development, teacher education programs, and policy initiatives aligned with the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS) 2022. The study emphasizes the need for holistic and experiential pedagogical approaches to foster scientifically creative learners who can contribute meaningfully to knowledge creation and societal development.
