Application of Mobile Based Library Services in Academic Institute’s Library

Abstract

Today, the use of the internet and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has change the applications in the library from the traditional to a hybrid library, then automate library, digital archives stages, library 2.0, library 3.0 and mobile phone services. Today the most of peoples are use mobile phones in their daily work, so mobile devices have become The essential part of human life is communication, and it also helps students in e-learning. In this paper, we have discussed about mobile technology and focused on its application in library services. With the help of mobile devices, libraries can produce new concepts of library services and provide speedy access to their collection. Use of mobile devices for library services has created good opportunities for effective library services in academic libraries
